'Is nature trying to reset itself back to equilibrium?
Has man forced nature to engage a kill switch?
Has the activities of man not changed by force the biorhythm of nature?
Has the environment had enough?
That a united leadership of the third world that believe in looting and
members of the advanced world with legitimate earning share the same environment.
Whatever we may believe in or accomplish needs the earth to enjoy success and or brood failure
I believe in man but man leads us all to dooms loom
I hope i was wrong, the fabric is not all shades of grey
For in the end all we will have is each other to stay alive.'
Indeed a crisis is a process of transformation where the old system can no longer be maintained thus crisis is synonymous to the need for change;if change is not as needed than it can be better described as a 'failure' or an 'incident'.
We are in a challenged time in the history of mankind as the earth is in total silence, many being forced to remain indoors, men suspicious of men, as the future strays from the expected path most of us planned.
The crisis of the coronavirus also known as the nCov-19 has crippled the economy of all nations of the earth. This crisis has claimed so many lives according to the world Health Organization update in the past 24 hours, 1,279,722 cases have been recorded with 72,641 death toll.
I wasn't particular about where the novel coronavirus was from, not that I wasn't interested in the history of covid-19 since the moment we recorded our first case in Lagos, Nigeria on February 27, 2020, I was more concerned about the possible explosion of cases that could be recorded in a short while.
Nigerians came up with different myths and a list of guesses providing us with reasons why the novel coronavirus would not affect us in Nigeria. I wanted to believe believe that covid-19 does not affect the poor, that it does not survive in humid and tropical continents, it did not affect Africans or that the novel virus was Gods retribution to the political class and or the highest social class of Nigeria. However untrue this was it was a comforting thought, of course it was a denial flooding the uneducated, the poor, a good number of the educated and the rich. Each category holding fast to the denial until the first case was recorded and the sheltering myths gave way to shame sharing.
While, a skeptical group of Nigerians pray this pandemic will not be a meas to loot public fund. Please, leave me out of the paragraph!
on the 30th day of February, 2020 the media was on the usual fire of blame games, the public blame the president of Nigeria, His Excellency Mohammadu Buhari, the All Progressive Party, and the government for the pandemic entrance into Nigeria for not shutting the boarders in good time, unfortunately Nigeria has recorded 343 cases as at April 14, 2020.
Typically, someone or some organization is to blame for the pandemic as it is believed as to why the pandemic spread to 21 States in Nigeria, fortunately, my residential State has not registered a case yet.We hope the pandemic will be contained and the spread will be controlled and curtailed as I am confident in the plan of the Government of Adamawa State and the decision of His Excellency Rt. Hon. Umaru Fintiri for the well being of the people of Adamawa State. This is a new foe unlike the known insurgence of the Boko-haram which has held the North-east Nigeria ransom for the past 5 years, however, the elements of surprise and short decision time of the pandemic.
The medical practitioners of Nigeria has and is doing a good job as is seen in the number of recovered cases. Lets have a minute silence for all those health practitioners all around the world who have lost there lives in this war of the world, their valor will always be remembered.
This is a time Nigerians, people of all race and culture must unit to fight our common enemy the covid-19 which has threaten our civilization, our economy, food security and our freedom. Lets come together to heal the world, lets fight to save it for our children because this is the only earth we will get and we owe it to our future generation to hand it over the same or even better than we received it!
